In July of 2004 we came to the west end of the Olympic Peninsula for what we thought was just a three day vacation. A lot can happen in three days. We walked the beaches, hiked in the rain forest, played in the river. We fell so completely in love with the area that within 3 months we were back to stay. We bought Quillayute River Resort - formerly known as Thunder's Resort - at the end of October and have been renovating it ever since, preparing for our June opening.   We look forward to sharing our very special corner of the world with you.
